I left Edmonton 16 years ago, it looks like it is changing fast from the video. The plans for the Geen were drawn up in Sept 1958 as i have one of the drawings which shows all the roads which were to be demolished. I remember as a very young child being taken shopping by my mum and the market was were the roundabout is now opposite the Cross Keys Pub. Glad we left as many of you have said it has changed for the worst. But still some good people living there.

assuming by your name gary, you’re in Calgary (I’m in Drumheller) this is Edmonton in North London, England not the one in Alberta. I can at least say that I’ve lived in both Edmontons–this one you want to knock down, well at least this part of it. When th precinct was created in the 60/70s it was windy, dirty, dusty and crime-riddled, this ramp represented that aspect of my Dad’s birthplace for me.

There i was thinking Derek and Clive were long-gone. Good to hear rhem again. C’mon you Spurs!

Not really, but they are the majority ;P
I loved the fact that they had to redo it while it was being done because it was too narrow for the bendy-buses to turn.
Another good thing about the new Edmonton Green is that they have a Subway :]
